Tourism Minister launches 'Book Tasmania' with V3Travel System

18 July 2006

The launch of Book Tasmania as the open booking solution for Tasmania is another watershed business direction for the Australian tourism industry. It shows how successfully private enterprise can work with Government to meet strategic objectives.
Tasmanian Tourism Minister, Paula Wriedt, launched the V3Travel System (now referred to as The Open Booking Exchange) in Launceston, recognising it as a significant step forward for the local tourism industry. The V3Travel Open Booking Exchange™ technology and business model was chosen by government and commercial businesses alike, as the optimum way to benefit small to medium tourism businesses, that make up the majority of Tasmania’s tourism industry. With the V3Travel System, these businesses can now promote themselves with a real competitive edge.
